SchemaPress

A WordPress plugin that brings Strapi-style structured content to WordPress, generating an admin and a REST API from typed collection types without dictating how anything renders.

Full stack: WordPress · PHP · React

Overview

SchemaPress gives teams the modelling discipline of a headless CMS without leaving the platform their site already runs on. You define a collection type with typed fields, and the plugin generates both an admin and a REST API from that single definition alone.

Entries are stored as ordinary posts, so existing queries, capabilities, and backups keep working unchanged. Each entry's values live in a single JSON blob, with a derived index mirroring every scalar value into its own meta row where ordinary SQL can reach it.

The plugin itself deliberately renders nothing at all. A PHP API, Twig functions for Timber, and the opt-in REST API all share one query grammar, so a filter means exactly the same thing everywhere and no template is ever assumed on the team's behalf at any point.
